School in Action - Music
MUSIC PROGRAM
At Hamilton (Gray St) Primary School music happens in many ways!
- All grades take part in weekly Music lessons with our specialist Music teacher. Students sing, move, and play all sorts of percussion instruments and along the way learn to read and write notation. They create and perform their own music individually and in groups, growing in confidence as they share the joy of music.
- The Gray St Choir performs at the local Eisteddfod, Carols Festival, Hamilton Carols by Candlelight and other locations throughout the year.
- Our Instrumental Program sees musicians visiting weekly for private lessons in piano, flute, strings, guitar, and vocals.
- Students have the opportunity to showcase their talent at assemblies and our annual “Gray St’s Got Talent”.
