School in Action - Buddies Program
BUDDIES PROGRAM
The Buddies Program is a fantastic opportunity for each Prep student to have a Year 6 ‘Buddy’ who will be a familiar face during a Prep’s first year of primary school. The program gives Prep students someone special that they can go to at recess or lunch if they feel they need a helping hand.
The positive relationship between Buddies is fostered during regular catch ups such as weekly lunch dates, craft activities, shared reading and problem solving activities.
The Buddies Program culminates in an exciting trip to Halls Gap Zoo at the end of the year to celebrate the special bond they have developed.
